Insurance for your auto transport carrier is a huge component when determining between open and enclosed carriers. Open transporters usually carry $250,000 to $300,000 in insurance to cover any damages that might occur during travel. Enclosed transporters, on the other hand, carry much higher insurance - anywhere from 3 to 3.5 million in insurance coverage! This is to protect more expensive vehicles that usually require the service of an enclosed carrier.

Open carriers are the most abundantly used transport trucks and are $300 to $500 cheaper than an enclosed carrier. We provide everything from a single car open transporter to even a six to seven car open transporter! Enclosed carriers are a little more expensive but are certainly worth the investment if the vehicle you're shipping is a luxury or specialty car. There are two types of enclosed carriers: a soft-side carrier and a hard-side carrier. Soft-side carriers are made of canvas material and aren't totally enclosed, but are cheaper to ship your vehicle. Our hard-side vehicles are totally enclosed and the lift gate option is perfect for low profile cars like race cars, Corvettes, Lamborghinis and other similar vehicles. Transporting fun fact: usually you'll see an abundance of soft-side transporters in the upper West Coast area whereas enclosed transporters are usually found in the upper East Coast.
